Twelve former band members from Florida A&M University are being charged with manslaughter for the 2011 hazing death of a drum major.

Last May, 10 of the band members were charged with a felony for hazing and killing 26-year-old Robert Champion. The two others that were charged were defendants.

Champion died in November 2011 after he collapsed following a savage beating during a hazing ritual. The incident occurred on a bus parked in a hotel parking lot after the FAMU and Bethune-Cookman annual football game.

Authorities said the victim had bruises on his chest, arms, shoulder and back and died of internal bleeding.
