R&B artist Jarell Perry premiered his new video for “Getaway” exclusively on ADD.
“Getaway” is off Jarell’s debut LP Simple Things. Influenced by Stevie Wonder and Usher, the L.A.-based singer captures viewers with his powerful voice and falsettos.
Jarell sings, “I know a way we can get up out of it” on a beach as ocean waves calmly hit the shore. “Getaway” tells a story of love and hope.
Towards the end of the video, Jarell pays homage to Trayvon Martin while rocking a black hoodie. Recently, Jarell expressed his condolences to Trayvon Martin’s family via Twitter, stating: “My deepest condolences and prayers to the Martin Family.”
