When your name is Oprah, you can do just about everything in advance.

Oprah Winfrey and her namesake O Magazine held an exclusive advance screening of the Lee Daniels’ film The Butler on Wednesday night in New York.

The media mogul hosted the event, but not without some help from her confidant and O Magazine Editor-At-Large Gayle King, who was in tow on the red carpet and also hosted a Q-&-A session following the movie screening. Other celebs spotted on the red carpet include The Butler star Forest Whitaker, designers Rachel Roy and Vera Wang, and fellow media maven Barbara Walters.

The film, which is centered around the life of a butler (played by Forest Whitaker) and his observations during employment under eight American presidents over the course of three decades, Oprah works alongside Whitaker, taking on the role of his wife.

Check out Oprah and fellow stars as they graced Wednesday evening’s red carpet:

Oprah sported her always amazing curls and opted for a chic color-blocked fitted dress.

Gal-Pal Gayle King painted the red carpet orange with her amazing summer hues and glow to match.

Forest Whitaker kept it simple in a black blazer and white collared shirt.

The beautiful and equally talented Rachel Roy took leopard to a chic level in this blazer and rosy colored trousers.

Vera Wang was dressed in all black and made a hairy statement with her cross-body bag.

Barbara Walters is giving us a major country club vibe with a classic sweater tied around her neck and black jeweled flats.

The Butler, which we hear is a thought-provoking must-see, hits theaters August 16th.
