Shortly after Jhene Aiko announced the release of her forthcoming EP, Sail Out, the 25-year-old singer/songwriter released her first single “Bed Peace” featuring Childish Gambino.
Over the past few weeks, the “Comfort Inn” singer has been adjusting to life after suffering a broken wrist in a horrible car accident she survived in Los Angeles two weeks ago. Despite her injuries, Jhene has remained resilient and hit the stage at this year’s Rock The Bells festival.
“Wake up, wake up/ Gotta get this paper, get this cake up/gotta do my hair, gotta put on makeup/gotta act like I care about this fake stuff, straight up,” sings Jhene.
“Bed Peace” is Jhene’s first single off her forthcoming EP, Sail Out. Jhene is also readying her debut album, Souled Out, which is scheduled to be released in 2014.
Sail Out features guest appearances by Ab-Soul, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, and Wiz Khalifa. Sail Out is due out October 29.
