Robin Thicke has finally opened up about his role in Miley Cyrus much talked about MTV VMA performance during his recent sit down with Oprah Winfrey.

During a clip from the interview, which will premiere on OWN, the “Blurred Lines” singer says he wasn’t really thinking anything sexual while singing on stage. He was just thinking fun.

Oprah: You didn’t think of it as sexual?

Robin Thicke: Well, I was on stage, I didn’t see it, you know. So to me, I’m walking out towards Miley, I’m not thinking ‘sex,’ I’m thinking ‘fun.’ So I’m sitting there, I’m looking up to the sky, I’m singing. I’m not really paying attention to all that. That’s on her.

Then after Oprah mentions Miley was grinding her lady parts on his man parts, he says he was simply the twerked upon.

“People ask me, ‘Do you twerk?’ I’m like, ‘Listen, I’m the twerkee. I’m twerked upon. I don’t twerk myself, okay? I’m just twerked upon.’“

Check out the interview below. Oprah’s full interview with Thicke on Oprah’s Next Chapter airs Sunday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.
