Need more proof that cats are dicks?

Look no further than 22-pound Lux, a Portland family’s cat who held his humans hostage after he scratched their baby.

Didn’t know that was possible, huh?

It all started when the father, Lee Barkerkicked the cat in the backside after he attacked the baby. Obviously, that pissed Lux the Himalayan off. Barker, his partner Teresa, the baby and a family dog had to retreat into a back bedroom to escape his wrath.

“I kicked the cat in the rear, and it has gone over the edge,” Barker can be heard saying in a recording of the 911 call. “He’s trying to attack us. He’s very, very, very, very hostile. He’s at our door; he’s charging us.”

The 911 operator stayed on the phone and could hear Lux screeching in the background.

“Every time we opened our back bedroom door, the cat would hiss,” owner and mom Teresa Barker told KOIN.

When officers arrived at the home, Lux ran into the kitchen and jumped on top of the refrigerator. They later caught him and put him into a crate…which he was obviously unwilling to go into.

“The cat remained behind bars in the custody of the family and officers cleared the scene and continued to fight crime elsewhere in the city,” Portland police said in a release.

The family is still discussing whether to try to find a new home for Lux and Lee, despite criticism, is defending his decision to kick the manic cat away from his baby.

“The cat is very loved that is why he is still here,” he wrote on Facebook. “We had the option to let the animal control take him but decided to give him a chance. The cat is territorial and can swat randomly and he swatted my son in the face – could have gotten him in the eye. I’m a very caring, hard-working father that cares about my son… I did kick him away from my son – you would too.”

Hey, you would too…right?
