The red carpet has been rolled up, the paparazzi’s packed up their equipment, and just like that, Super Bowl of style, otherwise known as the Met Gala, has come and gone. Fashion’s finest gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and while some celebrities scored major touchdowns for their glamorous getups, others had a few unfortunate fumbles.

The theme of the fashion fetê was centered around Charles James, a mid-century designer who’s heralded as “America’s First Couturier.” What we expected: beautiful ball gowns, gloves and tall top hats. What we got: a lot of guests who were very confused by the dress code. They passed that confusion from the red carpet right along to us. So while this isn’t a list of the worst-dressed per se, it’s a list of for whom we have….questions.

Our first one is for Lupita Nyong’o: We still love you, and while you made for a fabulous flapper, you know Halloween isn’t until October, right?

Lea Michele: Is that a pouch around your midsection? Like a snack pouch? Do you have any Doritos in there? It’s getting close to lunchtime, and I’m kinda starving over here.

Kate Upton: Are you OK? You’re looking a little ruffled up over there.

Solange: ..Just why?

Shailene Woodley: You know spring has sprung, right? Because we just aren’t falling for this ensemble.

Katie Holmes: You really wanted to be the Belle of the ball this year, didn’t you?

Maggie Gyllenhaal: Where did you find that curtain? Is that Ikea? Crate & Barrel? Inquiring interior designers want to know.

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen: Do we need to throw you two a lifesaver? Because you’re both drowning in your dresses. But, hey, at least they’re vintage, right?

Where do you stand on these stars’ style? Drop us a comment and let us know.
