Despite creating one of the most successful brands in the past decade, Kim Kardashian puts her family first.
The 33-year-old reality starlet and her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian have been working hard on their baby clothing line, and recently did a media run to promote it in NYC. The three sisters stopped by Babies R Us, where they met with some press to talk about their new line and balancing work with family life.
Kim revealed why she and her sisters go so hard for their brand:
“My mom kind of taught us girls we could have it all. You know, she works hard. She taught us that if you work hard, it’s just all about prioritizing.”
Apparently, things have gotten a lot more difficult for Kim’s businesses since she gave birth to North West last year and recently walked down the aisle with hubby Kanye West.
She continued:
“It could get tough after you have a baby,” Kim admitted. “There [have been] so many times when I just didn’t wanted to get up and work on something,” she confessed. “I just wanted to be home with my baby, but for me, I think I can speak for my sisters, it makes us feel good when we are out working.”
You know, now that I’m married,” Kardashian said, “I would so much rather spend time with my husband, my family, and my baby, than run around the world working for other people.”
All of the new changes really impacted her and her sisters’ brands, and they had to switch some things up to rethink their strategy:
“Last year, we reevaluated what our brand is and what it stands for,” Kim revealed, adding that the girls “stopped putting our name on things.” She explained, “We really wanted to only be involved in things… that we’re extremely passionate about and something that we own…. We would totally be open to collaborations, but we genuinely only want to take part in things that we own and have ownership in [as long as] that means something to us.”
“I think our brand is all about empowering other women to be successful.”
It’s definitely worked.
Meanwhile, Kimmy is still figuring out her family life with Yeezy and their baby North, as the two have been waiting for renovations on their new home to be completed. But apparently – they’re already selling it!
According to TMZ, the power couple is walking the footsteps of Ellen DeGeneres and house-flipping the $11 million property.
The site reports:
Kim and Kanye bought an $11 million mansion in Bel Air last year and did a major redo. Their plan going in was to live in it, but sources connected with the couple tell us … they’ve been told they could make millions if they sell it so, like Ellen, they’re saying ‘Why not?”
But this won’t just be a one off. We’re told Kim and Kanye enjoyed the renovation process so much they’ve decided to make it a side business. Their plan is to renovate several houses/estates a year.
Kim and Kanye have been living with her momager Kris Jenner for the past year, and despite rumors that it was overwhelming for the couple, they are actually pretty happy with the set-up.
After that mansion debacle, we can’t even imagine what kind of property KimYe will hook their claws into next.
