Just days after the shooting death of 18-year-old Mike Brown, GlobalGrind flew out to Ferguson, Mo. to get some answers regarding the teen’s death and see first-hand what was transpiring between protestors and police.

Brown, who was unarmed at the time, was shot and killed by a police officer who claims the teen attempted to reach for his gun during a struggle inside his police cruiser. The scuffle allegedly continued, spilling into the street where Brown was shot multiple times in the head and chest as he raise his hands in surrender.

Immediately after his death residents came together to protest the Ferguson police department, demanding answers as to why an innocent teenager had been murdered in broad daylight. Tensions grew quickly as night fell, prompting police to suit up in full riot gear, shooting tear gas and rubber bullets at protestors as well as media and making arrests.

The unrest continued for days before authorities began sharing information with the public. Ferguson P.D. released the name of the officer who fired the fatal shot and more information surrounding the young man’s death, but the release of information brought more questions than answers.

We caught up with citizens of the Missouri suburb to get their perspective on the situation and check things out for ourselves.

Check out the video above.
