Michael Sam is finally telling all, and he’s opening up to none other than Oprah Winfrey for a special interview.

While the interview doesn’t air on the OWN network until this weekend, a teaser snippet has hit the web, which shows the former talk show host asking the first openly gay NFL player a juicy question about other ballers in the league.

Oprah asked:

“Gay men in the NFL reached out to you and called you?” Oprah says.

Michael responded:

“Yes,” Sam says. “[They] just showed their respect and admired my courage… It was very good.”

She makes sure to get clarification on the fact that me implied that there were multiple gay players reaching out to him:

“You’re using the plural. ‘Men.’ Not ‘man.'”

He confirms:

“Men. There’s a lot of us out there. I’m not the only one. I’m just the only one who’s open.”

Earlier this year, Michael Sam was drafted by the St. Louis Rams, then later cut, and waived by the Dallas Cowboys. While we might not know what’s immediately next for him, he still has made history as the first openly gay player in the league.

Michael’s interview with Oprah airs on Saturday, Dec. 27, at 10:30 p.m. right after his documentary.
