The two Basketball Wives reality stars have been dealing with their relationships in the public eye for a few years now, and apparently it’s resulted in both of them now being single.
Gloria and Laura spoke up about their love lives at the premiere of The Wedding Ringer, with Gloria talking about her split with Matt Barnes, and Laura discussing her and her sister being “single moms.”
Gloria said at the red carpet:
“My entire relationship was really in the public. Not that it was easy, but it was easier this time around. I’ve kind of dialed it down in the social media aspect of it, I’m not posting things or tweeting. I’m just kind of letting it ride out.”
“My relationship with Matt is so up and down I don’t think a lot of people were surprised … I think it was harder on other people than it was on me. I’m not fortune telling, I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future.”
Laura then chimed in, referring to herself as a single mom, indicating that she and her longtime boo Gilbert Arenas are no longer together.
“Both of us being single, single moms, and coming out, and just showing who we really are, is going to be a big thing for us.”
Gloria’s ex Matt was caught tweeting about “real mothers” shortly after the Govan sisters hit the red carpet. Was he throwing shade?
Though he eventually deleted his comments, he originally tweeted:
We wish these ladies and their families the best!
