The Super Bowl halftime performance this Sunday should be one we won’t forget, since Katy Perry has a lot of secrets up her sleeve.
The “Fireworks” singer is set to take the stage for the biggest night in NFL all year, and not only does she have Lenny Kravitz already joining her for the halftime show, but she’s set to bring on another surprise guest
During her big press conference earlier today, Katy revealed that the guest would be a female singer, who will bring back a throwback vibe, but now the cat is out of the bag. Missy Elliott is set to join her on the big stage!
She said at the press conference:
“This is true. I have to keep some surprises for Sunday and I’m very, very excited about this guest because I thought long and hard about it and wanted to kinda bring someone back, like a throwback of sorts, that definitely needed some more shine,” she told reporters. “All I can say is it will be a real female-fun night.”
“It’s a bit old school. But I think when this person enters the stage and you hear the first ring of the chord, I think jaws will drop and faces will melt. There will be faces melting when she steps on the stage.”
The Associate Press confirmed the news, so now we can all “Work It” when Katy hits the stage.
