Twitter is where the world goes to speak, argue, and most importantly – come together.
The social platform recently released the most popular hashtags of the year. While some of the funny hashtags that poked fun at the year’s events didn’t make the list, some crucial moments in which the world united in times of adversity were celebrated. The list includes key events like #PrayForParis, #JeSuisCharlie, #BlackLivesMatter and #LoveWins. When it comes to music, the teen heartthrobs of One Direction took the cake, but Ariana Grande was in the top spot in the Star category.
