Nick “Swaggy P” Young may have lost his swag.

L.A. Lakers fans are probably wondering why Young hasn’t played in the past 11 games. Well, head coach Byron Scott clarified that the small forward has indeed been benched.

It has nothing to do with the chemistry. It has everything to do with just basketball. Right now, I know what he’s going through, and I know it’s hard on him. But he’s not here with us, mentally, and there’s no need for me to put him out there on the floor,” Scott told ESPN at practice Monday.

Scott decided it’s time for Metta World Peace to step up in his place for the remainder of the season.

It was strictly a basketball decision. It’s all based on because I know how [Young]’s feeling right now. He’s not really here with us,” he added.

It’s fair to say Young’s been dealing with a few personal issues since a video recorded by teammate D’Angelo Russell leaked onto the internet. In the video, Young allegedly talks about having relations with women other than his fiancée, Iggy Azalea.

Young has been struggling all season long, and was still unable to produce decent numbers even with a minimized role.

With Kobe’s retirement, here’s to hoping the Lakers get a decent draft pick this year and build a solid squad around D’Angelo Russell.
