The drama between The Real and Tamar Braxton reached a fever pitch this week, especially after Tay broke her silence about the drama on the Steve Harvey Radio Show. Now, producers of the talk show have released another statement attempting to set the record straight about what went down with her firing.

“Tamar Braxton’s contract was not renewed for reasons that will remain privileged and private, and that are between her and the Studio,” the statement read.

This statement was also an attempt to end the rumors that Braxton’s co-hosts, Tamera Mowry-HousleyJeannie MaiAdrienne Bailon, and Loni Love were behind Braxton getting axed.

Braxton posted an Instagram picture referring to being “stabbed in the back” just a day before the show announced her departure.

The Real had made previous statements about Braxton’s departure but they were not nearly as direct as this most recent one. Previously, producers said, “The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season.” But Tay didn’t really play along with that story, and rumors and leaked stories flew around the internet all week.

In fact, the “mutual agreement” was all but disproved on Braxton’s reality show Braxton Family Values when the reality star had a breakdown, saying, “I just feel like the rug has been pulled out from under me.”
