J.Cole tells The Source whats missing in the rap game and where his inspiration comes from saying ‘If a girl got pregnant, she’s represented. This nigga that got locked up, he’s represented. Nigga that made it to school, he’s represented, or can’t pay for school, he’s represented. I soak up these stories and give them back, that’s why I feel like I rep my city so well. Cause I’m doing life music’.
