Eminem drops a new unreleased track featuring fellow Detroitian Royce Da 5’9 and a loop of James Brown’s ‘Funky Drummer.’

The song’s title pays tribute to Proof, who was shot and killed by a bouncer in a club on 8 Mile Road in Detroit.

‘I think after we lost Proof we realized how stupid this beef sh*t is,’ Eminem said during a June 2010 interview on The All Out Show on Sirius Satellite’s Shade 45. ‘It was a serious wake-up call, man, and realizing that life’s short. It feels good to be back in touch with the homie. When I rhyme with Royce, I always gotta step it up because Royce is f*cking ill. He’s one of the illest lyricists to me, out, period.’

No official word on where ‘Living Proof’ came from or where it may be heading but it has our stamp of approval. Check out the song below.
