My mother, who suffers from a bad heart, was abused by my dad. May God bless his soul. When I was born, my dad a dark man, placed a gun to my mother’s head while she held me in her arms. He screamed at my mother, that’s not my baby, he’s light skinned, I’m dark! Who you been f*cking with? He took me and threw me across the room. I was only a couple of days old. My dad was never a real part of my life, despite efforts to make it happen. One day while I was in my twenties, my dad, my brother and I were all in the room for the first times in our life. We drank, and caught up on old times. My brother had to leave and it was then that my dad told me about all the horrible things he did to my mother. I didn’t hold a grudge though, I would see the pride in his eyes, whenever he laid eyes on me. I’m sure he saw the disgust in mine whenever i laid eyes on him. He died a year later. Alone. In his apartment, sat for days. My evil father didn’t deserve that, no one does. I forgave him, I just wish my mother would have, but at the same time… I don’t blame her.
