Here’s a unique take on the modern day music ideo and social media. Kelis’ alternative clip for her ‘4th of July (Fireworks)’ video features Twitter avatars and tweets from followers who wrote out ‘4th Of July’ in their timeline this past July 4. The video then merges these elements together for fly collage-like portraits of Kelis.
The video is the second one shot for ‘4th of July (Fireworks)’. The first video premiered back in June and featured dance interpretations of the Earth’s elements. She also co-directed the video with John ‘rankin’ Waddell. ‘4th of July (Fireworks)’ is the second single from Kelis’ Flesh Tone album, currently available in stores and online retailers.
