Last night GlobalGrind made its way to Good Units at the Hudson Hotel to check out Puma’s collaboration with streetwear brand Undefeated. We arrived a little later than expected and were told the worst thing any partygoer can hear: “We’re at capacity and I don’t care if you have an RSVP, NOBODY is getting in!”
After some quick thinking we decided that wasn’t going to stop us and managed to find an alternate way into the event. We ended up in VIP. We’d say how we did it but we won’t give too many secrets.
DJ Kid Capri was spinning and it was open bar. Guests in VIP included Mos Def, CurT@!n$, 40oz Van with his crew, Red Café and designer Kevin Leong.
Spread around the hotel’s lower level were different versions of the now iconic Puma “Clyde” shoe, including the Puma x Undefeated Clyde, The “Vaughn Bode” Clyde, and the MTV Jams Clyde color-ways, in addition to an autographed pair from Clyde himself.
The event ended promptly at midnight and, aside from the small hiccup at the door, it was an amazing night.
