One of the most celebrated females in music is making her way back to the spotlight and we are more than ready to welcome her back. Lauryn Hill, our favorite refugee, managed to captivate us with her 1998 grammy award winning album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Her unplugged album would soon follow in 2002 but despite the desperate cries for her return Ms.Hill would take a hiatus that would not only affect her career but the music as well.

It was recently announced that Lauryn Hill would be taking the stage for a couple of tour dates for the annual Rock The Bell festival. Hopefully this would stir enough passion for L Boogie to get back into the studio and back on the music scene. Allot has changed since her departure in 2002, heres a list of things she may need on her way back to the top.

Now-a-days every artist from Trey Songz to Big Boi has had a pre-album mixtape released to let fans know what their albums will sound like. Drake was able to catapult his career and garner critical acclaim just by distributing free music. Think of these pre-releases as trade-offs in todays music world. These trade-offs garner excitement, anticipation and lets not forget….album sales.

Auto Tune

There are many nay-sayers against auto-tune, but despite it’s overkill, autotune can enhance emotion or just make a song sound really real
