Oveous Maximus is an up-and-coming lyricist who has worked with the likes of grammy award winners Roy Ayers, Louie Vega, and Osunlade (Yoruba Records).
He has won Amateur Night At The Apollo numerous times, has been featured on HBO’s original series Def Jam Poetry, and is a 3-time national poetry finalist. Talk about talent!
Eight years ago, Oveous’ only brother took his own life. Today, Oveous still remembers his brother, as he furthers his passion for ‘breathing real life into his words.’ This song is an Ode to Carlos-Paul Salcedo aka Ziiinc Blue.
