Andre 3000 has come a long way since his first popped on the scene around Christmas with no shirt and a gold chain, rapping about a Playa’s Ball. Since then we have saw him rock shoulder pads, wigs, furry pants and suits so fly, they gave lessons to planes. Andre 3000 has changed the game and changed as a man. Andre once said ‘I am not 17 anymore. I have put in my time, and if you want to hear hard-core hip hop or rhyming, go back to the earlier albums. I can’t pretend that I am in the same place I was when I was 17, 18 years old.”

Spoken like a true scholar. Andre Three Stacks has also redefined the meaning of cool. He has always been looked at as cool, even when he dressed like a complete and utter weirdo. He was accepted. Maybe it’s because Andre Benjamin knew “Cool is not just one type of cool. Cool is confidence and knowing, I guess, what you are and being fine with it. Some people can be what people call ‘nerds’ and they’re cool because they know they’re nerds. They know what they are and they’re so confident in knowing what they are that that makes them cool, and somebody aspires to be like them, because they’re fine with it. It’s confidence, you know.”

Make perfect sense. So take a walk with us back in time, from 2010 – 2003 and look at the evolution of Andre 3000 Benjamin
