Inside of a bus in Long Island anti-gay slurs, taunting, and bullying remarks were being tossed around for weeks but on Thursday it moved into physical assault.

‘Punches, backhand slaps and kicks, the victim retreated to the back of the bus where the defendants followed and continued with the assault,’ Nassau County Police Det. Lt. John McEwan said.

The three schoolmates stomping the victim’s arms, legs, stomach and thigh were attacking someone because they perceived him to be gay.

They were reportedly making sexual slurs during the incident.

The victim told authorities and the school that he did not have the courage to complain for fear of retaliation. It took a physical beating for him to finally talk to someone about it.

The bus driver and matron are being questioned about the incide because it policy for them to immediately report any taunting or bullying on the bus – they didn’t come forward with any information about the event until the victim spoke up.

Honestly, if you’re allowing bullying to happen you should be charged in some minor degree along with the assault. You’re an adult, stand up for our youth.
