With all the girls wanting to be like the ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ Miley Cyrus and MTV show Teen Mom, teens really aren’t be pointed in the right direction. I’m not saying that Miley Cyrus is a bad influence because she’s a multi-millionaire at 17years old and teen pregnancy is a daily occurance. However, the media glamorizes false images of teenagers. For example every black male doesn’t dream of playing ball or being a rapper. Some black males may want to work in the stock -market or become doctors.So what exactly is the Teen Age Dream? Yes, teenagers have dreams . They just may not express them. I’m pretty sure the girls on Teen Mom had dreams before they gave birth to a child. They still can fulfill them , it just might be a little harder. The teenage dream is to be loved, have someone to love, money, education, and succeed in life. Many rappers have talked about their struggles as teens in their music. Some rappers dreamt of being rappers when they were teens like Soulja Boy, He actually allowed his dreams to come true. But what exactly is the teenage dream ? Does It Exist ? It does and you don’t have to be asleep to see it !
