Jermaine Dupri has been getting quite a lot of buzz around the blogs for everything but music lately. Today, he dropped a new remix to YG‘s ‘Toot It and Boot It’ which is picking up speed in popularity across the country. YG is a 19-year-old emcee hailing from Compton, CA who is also loosely affiliated with Southern California’s popular jer movement. Having spent some time in his life dedicating himself to infectious gang life around the streets of Los Angeles, he now has chosen to go the straight and narrow route and keep his life in the recording booth. His debut album, which is being released under the Def Jam imprint, is scheduled for release sometime this Fall.
