So after an unnecessary and excessive amount of media coverage on Laurence Fishburne‘s daughter, Montana Fishburne, we are all well aware that she is finding her claim to fame through a sex tape. Although the tape has yet to surface, the stills from the video along with a few statements from Montana have been reported. When asked about the tape she responded ‘I view making this movie as an important first step in my career,I’ve watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape. I’m hoping the same magic will work for me. I’m impatient about getting well-known and having more opportunities, and this seemed like a great way to get started on it.’
Now people are blaming Kim Kardashian for this sex tape and suggesting that she should speak out on the subject. My opinion is… DON’T BLAME KIM KARDASHIAN PEOPLE! It is not her fault that little miss Montana is starring in a porno! While I am in no way promoting sex tapes, I am in fact defending Kim and speaking out against all of those who see her as guilty due to Montana’s cry for fame. It is completely unfair to compare the two videos for many reasons.

Kim Kardashian did not make her video with ex boyfriend Ray J for fame. Before the tape was released Kim was a stylist who also organizied celebrity closets and hung out with people in the entertainment industry. When filming the video Kim didn’t know it would be released to the public where as Montana’s sole purpose for the video is fame. My main point being Montana’s intentions for making the film were not the same as Kim’s.
Whereas Kim produced the video for herself and Ray J’s own pleasure, Montana Fishburne truley believes that this film can be her big break into the entertainment industry.

Montana’s film was produced with a camera crew and a porn star as her leading man. Before making this film she also stared in her alleged boyfriend Brian Pumper’s music video in just a bra and thong. Since her wanna be rappers boyfriends video was a failed attempt to stardom she went for film. Kim on the other hand was never a video vixen, nor did she pose nude before becoming famous.
It is not fair to blame Kim because a private film she made with her boyfriend was leaked. Although this may have debuted around the time her career was on the rise it does not mean that the sex tape was the reason for the celebrity status. I think this is just another way for the media to attack the Kardashian family when there are plenty of other celebrities (Paris Hilton, Kendra Wilkinson) who have sex tapes but are not being ridiculed. So that’s my opinion and i’m sticking to it!
