Singer/songwriter Amel Larrieux has graced the music world with her beautiful infectious voice and falsetto melodies for almost three decades, and five albums later, she’s still blessing her fans with new music.

After a brief musical hiatus, Amel is finally ready to release her fifth solo album, Ice Cream Everyday. The 40-year-old singer stopped by GlobalGrind to chat about the inspiration behind her new album, reuniting with her Groove Theory pal Bryce Wilson, and going to prom with Questlove in high school.

Amel’s forthcoming album, Ice Cream Everyday, is set to drop later on this year. In the meantime, check out her new single “Afraid” here.
