He raps, he acts – is there anything Machine Gun Kelly can’t do?
The rapper is the latest performer to dive into the work of acting and trust us – this one’s going to be good! Cleveland rapper MGK recently landed a major role in the film Blackbird. The 23-year-old plays a character named Kid Culprit, a role MGK says is very similar to his own life.
Culprit is a bad boy on top of the rap game. He’s got a gorgeous R&B girlfriend, played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who’s equally talented, and life is good. That is, until a cop steals his girl and turns his world upside down. Kid Culprit is forced to act out in order to regain a sense of pride after getting dumped.
Blackbird has a little something for everyone: romance, action, and yes, a sexy dance number. From the director who brought you Love and Basketball, this love story is quickly shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of the new year.
Find out what it was like to get a lap dance from Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who gave MGK acting advice, and what it was like working with The-Dream, from the man himself, up above.
