Kerry Washington made the promotional rounds yesterday, and anytime the Scandal stunner speaks, we listen.
The mother-to-be dressed her growing baby bump in a Shoshanna ‘Selma’ floral-print shift dress, paired with nude Christian Louboutin pumps, as she hit up The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
During their chat, Ellen asked Kerry if Scandal has made her look at politics differently, since it’s filled with so many political headlines and subplots.
“I do think the show is based on their imagination more than real life, but often when we talk to people from Washington they say “Oh yea….a lot of that looks familiar.”
Kerry has been on a ton of magazine covers as of late, and even pulled a Lady Gaga – rocking a dress made out of food.
“Listen you know I’m a Lady Gaga fan, so when she did the meat dress I said I would do the kale dress.”
It was all jokes, but Kerry did open up to Ellen about her plans to show her work to future kids and grandkids: Kerry’s putting her mother in charge of her magazine cover stash:
“I put her in charge of all of that because like early on I figured, well you know, I might have a grandchild one day who wants to see this stuff, but I don’t want to live with this stuff in my house. So I send it all to my mother and she archives it. She gets to be proud.”
Kerry not only made Ellen laugh, she stopped by Chelsea Lately to discuss her recent hosting gig on SNL.
“That was so fun!” Washington said when the funny lady lavished her with praise. “That was one of the best weeks of my life being able to go and play with those really smart, funny people.”
