Kids these days…

Ten different boys of ages 13 to 15 in Quebec are currently facing child pornography charges after they used the popular app Snapchat to allegedly make child porn.

According to The Huffington Post, the boys went to court yesterday to face the charges after they were caught exchanging photos of each other’s girlfriends on the app.

All of them received charges of distributing child pornography, while two were charged with producing it.

The site reports:

Laval police Const. Nathalie Lorrain said police and parents were called to a Laval high school in the English-language Wilfrid Laurier School Board, after a school staff member discovered a male student was showing other boys sexually explicit photographs of a girl.

“There was a small network of 10 young men that were soliciting young girls that some of them knew very well,” said Lorrain.

“They were asking these girls for sexually explicit pictures — sometimes with a lot of insistence.”

The school has encouraged parents to be more involved in their students’ lives so situations like this don’t continue.
