Eminem and his ex-wife, Kim Scott Mathers, have one of the most volatile relationships in history. But, for some reason, these two lovebirds cannot seem to get enough of one another. And according to recent reports, Kim and Em have decided to give their love another chance.

Kim’s mother, Kathy Sluck, recently told RadarOnline that Slim Shady and her daughter “get along better than ever” and see one another “all the time.” Eminem, whose most recent album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 has already gone platinum, is currently building his beau a new mansion just five miles from his own place in Macomb, Michigan.

“She has been clean all these years, she just takes care of her family. She’s doing very well,” Kathy said. “I think they might [get back together soon], they get on better than ever.”

The “Stan” rapper, 41, and Kim were teenage sweethearts, who share a daughter named Hailie. The pair married in 1999 and got divorced in 2001, only to remarry in 2006 and divorced that same year. Eminem has been very vocal about the tumultuous love affair, which has been tainted by infidelity and drug addiction.

In 2010, Eminem described the difficulties he has faced on the dating scene.

“As far as going out, like dinner and a movie — I just can’t,” he said. “Going out in public is just too crazy. I mean, I’d like to be in a relationship again someday. Who doesn’t? It’s just hard to meet new people, in my position.”

Although many are happy to see these two reconcile, others are very apprehensive about their reunion, as Eminem has publicly bashed his ex-wife in many of his song lyrics, apparently even causing her to attempt suicide. So, in true GlobalGrind fashion, we have decided to do a countdown of some of Em’s most controversial lyrics about his soon-to-be ex-wife-turned-lover.

1. “Kim” – The Marshall Mathers LP

“You really f*c&% me Kim, you really did a number on me/Never knew cheatin’ on you would come back to haunt me/But we was kids then Kim, I was only eighteen.”

This highly disturbing song basically chronicles a revenge fantasy against Kim. The rapper talks about killing Kim, her new boyfriend and child, as a screaming track plays throughout the song.

2. “Kim” – The Marshall Mathers LP

“So now they both dead and you slash your own throat/So now it’s double homicide and suicide with no note/I should’ve known better when you started acting weird/We coulda…hey, where you going, get back here/You can’t run from me Kim, it’s just us. Nobody else/You’re only making this harder on yourself.”

The song was so explicit that it had to be completely removed from the clean version of the album and was replaced with a “South Park”-themed song entitled “Kids.”

3. “97 Bonnie & Clyde” – The Slim Shady LP

“But you know your mama, she’s one of those type of women/That do crazy things, and if she don’t get her way, she’ll throw a fit/Don’t play with da-da’s toy knife, honey, let go of it (no!)/ And don’t look so upset, why you acting bashful?/ Don’t you wanna help da-da build a sand castle? (yeah!)/ And mama said she wants to show how far she can float/ And don’t worry about that little boo-boo on her throat”

This song premiered in 1997, on the Detroit rapper’s first LP. He is speaking to his daughter, Hailie, as he prepares to throw her mother’s dead body in a lake.

4. “Sing For The Moment” – The Eminem Show

“You’re full of s–t too, Guerra, that was a fist that hit you”

In this hit, Em references a scuffle he has with bouncer John Guerra, who he witnessed kissing Kim outside a Detroit cafe in 2000.

5. “Till I Collapse” – The Eminem Show

“My thoughts are sporadic, I act like I’m an addict/ I rap like I’m addicted to smack like I’m Kim Mathers”

It is clear that Slim Shady was going through a lot in 2002, as was his ex-wife. In this hit, he even referenced her trouble with drug addiction by explicitly calling her out.

6. “Say Goodbye To Hollywood” – The Eminem Show

“I thought I had it all figured out, I didn’t/ I thought I was tough enough to stick it out with Kim/ But I wasn’t tough enough to juggle two things at once/ I found myself laying on my knees in cuffs/ Which shoulda been a reason enough for me to get my stuff and just leave”

This 2002 song was originally written for his daughter, Hailie, but the rapper uses it as an excuse to tarnish Kim’s name even further.

7. “Soldier” – The Eminem Show

“So ticcy toc, listen as the sound ticks on the clock/ Listen to the sound of Kim as she licks on the cock”

Em went for the jugular as he made reference to Kim’s infidelities in this 2002 song.

8. “Mockingbird” – Encore

“It’s funny I remember back one year when daddy had no money/Mommy wrapped the Christmas presents up/And stuck ‘em under the tree and said some of ‘em were from me/Cuz daddy couldn’t buy ‘em/I’ll never forget that Christmas I sat up the whole night crying”

Not all seemed to be bad between Em and Kim. In “Mockingbird,” he remembers a time when Kim was there to support him.

9. “When I’m Gone” – Curtain Call: The Hits

“That’s when I wake up, alarm clock’s ringin’, there’s birds singin’/It’s Spring and Hailie’s outside swinging, I walk right up to Kim and kiss her/Tell her I miss her, Hailie just smiles and winks at her little sister/Almost as if to say/And when I’m gone, just carry on, don’t mourn/Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice”

This ’05 hit comes on the cusp of Em and Kim’s attempt to reconcile. Shortly after its release, the two remarried and Em adopted Kim’s other daughter, Whitney. (Too bad it would be a short-lived marriage).

10. “I’m Going Through Changes” – Recovery

“Hailie this one is for you, Whitney and Alaina too/I still love your mother, that’ll never change, think about her every day/We just could never get it together hey, wish there was a better way/For me to say it, but I swear on everything/I’d do anything for her on any day”

It is 2010, and four years have passed since Em uttered a Kim-inspired lyric. In this song, he professes his unrequited love for Kim. It only seems fitting that these two have decided to give their love another try.
