Beyonce is one sneaky gal!

The 32-year-old pop sensation shut the whole internet down this week when she secretly released her album Beyoncé on iTunes, and everyone is still baffled as to how she pulled it off.

It turns out, Bey has got the answers! She released a video to her Facebook page around the same time the album dropped that explained how she was able to keep things hush-hush.

She said in the video:

“I miss that immersive experience,” she says, of watching music videos like Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” as a family, as a mass event. “Now people only listen to a few seconds of a song on the iPods and they don’t really invest in the whole experience. It’s all about the single, and the hype. It’s so much that gets between the music and the art and the fans. I felt like, I don’t want anybody to get the message, when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”

Apparently it took a lot of different code names and shifting the deadline for it, which was finalized about a week ago. The album started to really take shape back in October.

It also looks like Bey has chosen her first two singles from the album that will be hitting the charts this coming month.

According to Billboard, her Pharrell-hit “Blow” is set to hit the Top 40 charts, while “Drunk In Love” featuring her hubby Jay Z is heading to the urban charts.

It’s also set for “XO” to come to the charts sometime in 2014, so we already know her new year is coming in with a bang!
