The Obamas are in Hawaii for the holidays, but on Sunday night, they skipped the sandy beach to partake in the Oregon State-Akron game at the Diamond Head Classic tournament in Honolulu.
Sitting just behind the Oregon State bench, the Obama family drew cheers, excitement and even a standing ovation. Fans and press photographers snapped pictures and many couldn’t keep their eyes on the Oregon State game (the team is coached by Michelle Obama’s brother, Craig Robinson).
Needless to say, President Obama, FLOTUS, Malia and Sasha aren’t like any ordinary family.
But then we saw this photograph of Obama stuffing popcorn in his mouth like he had never tasted the buttery goodness before:
And then there was this picture of Obama and FLOTUS getting all cuddly on the court:
And even though they are like, American Royalty, (save the conversation about the Revolutionary War and how we rid ourselves of kings and queens, please), here’s evidence that even the First Family can’t resist the face of a cute toddler:
All of which prove they aren’t all that inaccessible and relatable. And after all, isn’t that what we want our president to be like?
