Kanye West is officially in with Adidas, and it seems he’s just as excited for the brand collaboration as his fans are. During a recent visit to his hometown of Chicago, Kanye caught up with B96/Chicago to chat with Stylz & Roman on their radio show, and he dropped a bunch of gems when talking about his latest collaboration with Adidas.

While at the station, Kanye not only announced that he and Adidas would have “something in September,” but he also made it very clear that the collection would reach beyond the realm of shoes, including apparel for men and women and maybe, JUST MAYBE, even a few stand alone stores would be birthed under this partnership.

Kanye also mentioned that he had just returned from a trip to the Adidas headquarters in Germany and had one of the “greatest creative days of [his] life.” And in natural Kanye fashion, he went on to remind the public that everything we’re imagining is “soft” compared to what he’s really got coming with this new Adidas collection.

“We designed the entire women’s collection. We designed the entire men’s collection. And… We designed 20 shoes. We coming in September and it’s about to be a paradigm shift.”

He then continued on with a special message for Nike, saying:

”You need to hear this in Portland. Listen at the Nike Campus, that methodology, that’s not going to work. All of this leveraging and extortion is not going to work now because I’m at adidas. The game is flipped now. There’s nobody you can run to and nowhere you can hide right now.”

To that we say, show and prove it this September, Mr. West! We hope Adidas provides the outlet the self-proclaimed genius feels he needs to create and heal his Nike wounds. Speaking of Nike, the brand has also announced an official release date for the Red October Air Yeezys: December 27th, online only, and super limited. Good luck copping those.
