Kwasi Enin, 17, isn’t sweating when it comes to college acceptance letters. The Long Island teenager has accomplished what very few have — getting accepted to all eight Ivy League schools.
Talk about a little positivity!
Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and the University of Pennsylvania all sent acceptance letters to 17-year-old Kwasi Enin’s home in Shirley, reports USA Today.
“The yesses kept coming,” Enin, a William Floyd High School student who wants to be a physician, told Newsday. He said he couldn’t believe it.
Neither could Nancy Winkler, a guidance counselor at Enin’s school.
“It’s a big deal when we have students apply to one or two Ivies,” Winkler told USA Today. “To get into one or two is huge. This is extraordinary.”
The first-generation American, whose parents emigrated from Ghana, scored a whopping 2,250 out of 2,400 on the SAT. That number put him in the 99th percentile for all students taking the exam.
As for his pick, Enin hasn’t made a definitive choice. But along with the eight coveted Ivy Leagues, he’s also been accepted at Duke and three State University of New York campuses.
And now…we’re wondering where we went wrong in life.
Congratulations to Enin on all his hard work! We’re sure college will be a blast.
