If anyone can pull off having a Spongebob-themed birthday party past the age of 25, it’s definitely Pharrell.
The “Happy” singer did just that for his 41st (we can’t believe it either!) b-day bash in NYC on Friday night, and it looks like Spongebob, Patrick Star, Squidward, and Sandy weren’t the only big names in the building.
Tons of celebrities came out to help Pharrell bring in his birthday – which was actually Saturday, April 5th – including the likes of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats, Alexander Wang, Angela Simmons, Russell Simmons, Mashonda and more!
Of course Pharrell and his now-famous Vivienne Westwood hat were killing it the whole night – He looked like one of the happiest people ever as he flashed a lot of smiles, danced, and greeted guests.
He even had an epic hip-hop nerd moment with Swizz as he bowed down to his rival producer friend, and later posed with Swizzy’s wife Alicia.
To top his b-day weekend off, Pharrell performed on SNL last night, where he sang his smash hit song “Happy”, as well as “Marilyn Monroe” off his new album G I R L.
He even did a pretty funny skit that poked fun at his tall hat… As always, Pharrell was a really good sport about it!
