About a month ago, Forbes broke the story that Wu-Tang Clan has a secret album on deck. There will only be one copy of the album and it will sell for a pretty penny.
The album will be called Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, and we’re waiting to see who’ll have the honor of spending millions on it. (There’s a Kickstarter to cop the album out there, Wu fans.)
So what will the album sound like? We might never know fully, but we’ll always have this snippet. Forbes just released a new video wherein writer Zack O’Malley Greenburg goes out to Morocco where the album is being created.
While there, Zack got to see the artwork up close. He also met up with the album’s producer, Tarik “Cilvaringz” Azzougarh, who talked about how the album was made and also played a snippet of a song.
The untitled snippet, which you can hear above, features Ghostface rapping over a very Wu-Tang-sounding soulful beat.
Check out the snippet above. It might be the only time you hear any part of the album. No word on the release date yet.
