When you think of successful independent rappers, names like Macklemore, Mac Miller, and Tech N9ne quickly pop into your mind. But there’s one New York rapper who has been selling out shows non-stop and making teenage girls go crazy for years, and his name is Hoodie Allen.
Over the past few years, Hoodie Allen has toured around the world promoting projects like All American and Americoustic, but now, the 25-year-old rapper is focusing on his new single “Show Me What You’re Made Of” and releasing his independent debut LP.
Hoodie stopped by GlobalGrind’s offices to discuss his forthcoming album, riding around in a golf cart with rocker Tommy Lee, collaborating with Chance The Rapper before he became critically acclaimed, and of course, touring around the world.
