In a recent interview with MTV News, Lil Wayne discussed his upcoming highly anticipated tour with Drake. Perhaps the juiciest detail he gave fans was the implication that he would “battle” Drizzy on stage.
Though it probably won’t be a traditional rap battle, Weezy says they plan on having a “back and forth” dynamic for each show. When asked who would win the battle, Wayne replied that he would “give the good guy the edge” (i.e. Drake). With Weezy playing the villain to Drake’s hero in what might be the biggest joint tour since Watch The Throne, we can expect a “battle” of epic proportions.
Lil Wayne also announced last month that he’s releasing two albums this year – Tha Carter V and Da Other Album. He also mentioned Drake would be making an additional appearance on the former – aside from his appearance on their huge single “Believe Me.” Nicki Minaj will be featured on the album as well.
There’s a lot to look forward to from Drake, a young hero in his prime, and Lil Wayne, an old villain that evidently still has some tricks left up his sleeve. Buy tickets to the Drake Vs. Lil Wayne tour here.
