Earlier this year, Nas celebrated the 20th anniversary of his revolutionary debut album Illmatic. Now, the Queensbridge rapper is releasing a documentary about the making of this classic album. Time Is Illmatic recaps the hard work that went into the album, as Nas was just 19 years old living in Queensbridge projects. This documentary features interviews with Q-Tip, Alicia Keys, and Pharrell, just to name a few. The film is scheduled to be released on October 1st. Check out the trailer above. [Complex]
