There was only one place to be in New York City last night, and that was HBO’s #BoardwalkBackroom event at Harlem’s swanky Minton’s + The Cecil restaurants.

The intimate 1930s jazz-inspired event was filled with festive highlights, including prohibition-influenced cocktails, perfectly crafted hors d’oeuvres, and of course, beautiful burlesque dancers.

The biggest highlight of the night arrived when actress Margot Bingham transformed into her Boardwalk Empire character Daughter Maitland, a jazz/blues singer employed by Dr. Narcisse. Channeling her Broadway and theater background, Margot Bingham held little back as she serenaded the very packed #BoardwalkBackroom.

Charismatic actor and one of the leading stars of Boardwalk Empire, Michael K. Williams, also made his rounds during the thematic event, greeting fans and execs with the same charm of his character Chalky White.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and the Emmy Award-winning series will end this season. With only an eight-episode season on the horizon, be prepared to pick your jaws off the ground – people will die, empires will fall, and an era will end.

The fifth and final season of Boardwalk Empire premieres this Sunday, September 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
