The Daily Grind Video

Mac Miller isn’t just a rapper, he’s also a wiz at production.

Linking up with the good folks over at Mass Appeal, Mac Miller participated in their web series “Rhyming Roulette.”

In the video, the Pittsburgh emcee goes into a record store, blindfolds himself, and chooses three vinyls from Elvin Jones, Buddy Rich, and Charles Lloyd to sample. Mac then heads home to the studio to make an effortless beat from scratch sampling, using his MacBook, keyboard, electric guitar, tambourine, saxophone, and drums.

The beat ends up turning out pretty dope.

No word on when Mac will deliver his fans a new album, but we’re hoping it’s soon. Check out his production skills in the video above.
