At 11 years old, Quvenzhane Wallis has already become the youngest Oscar nominee ever, fronted a campaign for Giorgio Armani, and held a starring role in a remake of the classic film Annie.

No wonder she doesn’t want to grow up. With those accolades already, who would?

In the latest issue of ELLE, the rising star poses for charming headshots and already sounds like a seasoned vet.

“I just keep doing what I’m doing and don’t ever give up. That’s what I like about Annie. If she has goals, she’ll finish them, like me. We’re both confident,” she said.

Also like Annie, she’s still a kid and wishes to remain that way. At least at heart.

“I feel like I’m five sometimes, because I still enjoy myself. I enjoy what I do. I don’t want to grow up, but I know it’s not going to last much longer.”

Quvenzhane might be young in age, but she’s a wise soul.
