Following 2014’s record of making fun of domestic violence victims, body-shaming women, and an overall attitude of not giving a fuck about appearing misogynistic, Fox News rang in the New Year with yet another middle finger to the world by suggesting women must stroke men’s egos to maintain a relationship.

Well, among other things. Like massaging his feet, cooking all his meals, and heeding  other antiquated advice that makes 2015 look like 1900.

During a Fox And Friends segment on New Year’s Day, the hosts highlighted a new book written by men that provides “brutally honest” information regarding how to keep a guy happy.

And this, according to host Clayton Morris, should be your New Year’s ultimate goal.

“Ladies, listen up,” host Clayton Morris said. “Ladies, we’re talking to you. If you still don’t have a New Year’s resolution then could this be it?”

Other advice from the book Single Man, Married Man, set to be released in February?

“[S]omeone has to wear the pants and someone has to wear the skirt.” Also, if a man cheats, it’s always his wife or girlfriend’s fault: “A man who cheats is looking for someone to fulfill a part of him that his lady is not, plain and simple.”

Advice Fox hosts definitely believe in.

Even co-host Peter Doocy seemed to be perplexed as he offered the first piece of advice: “No matter where a woman was in life, she should always be able to cater to her man’s needs.”

“Yeah, I do want to be a better wife,” co-host Ainsley Earhardt agreed.

“Well, how about this one?” Doocy continued. “When he gets his ego stroked, he’ll be more inclined to love you more.”

“That’s true!” Earhardt exclaimed.

Ah. Classic Fox. Here’s to yet another sexist year.
