Two weeks into his new hit show, our boy Larry Wilmore had to issue an apology. The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore host came under fire for a joke about Black women being bossy.
“Is it because black women are too bossy?” he asked, later asking his panel, “On a scale of one to ten, how bossy are black women? … It better not be under five.”
Now, the comic is apologizing after keeping it one hundred.
“Like I said, it was a joke. But I get it. Some people thought we were picking on black women. We were not, black women,” Wilmore said. “You guys know we love you. I was raised by a single black mother.”
Then he said that if you’re still upset, send your suggestions to @Common.
Speaking of mothers, Jimmy Fallon continues to bring old school hip-hop to the masses on The Tonight Show. Will Smith stopped by to promote his new movie Focus, and ended up beat-boxing “It Takes Two” by Rob Base. Once again, it was gold. Fallon has been killing them all week long with a Saved By The Bell skit and Fresh Prince remake.
There’s a pretty cool Better Call Saul comic book that you can read for free on AMCTv.com. Check it out before the Breaking Bad spin-off debuts on Sunday at 9 p.m.
