Tracee Ellis Ross is the epitome of confidence, but while still remaining humble.

The former Girlfriends star recently landed a double cover for Essence Magazine‘s #BlackWomenInHollywood issue for March 2015, which she fits well after seeing such huge success with her starring role on the new sitcom black-ish.

Sporting a Byron Lars Beauty Mark dress and some Sophia Webster pumps, Tracee looks gorgeous on the first cover, while keeping it cute and casual in a Jay Godfrey dress on the second cover.

In the magazine interview, the actress talks about staying true to herself, which she remarks:

“I hope they look at me and think, ‘That lady looks like she accepts herself.'”

She also revealed that she was worked 14 hours a day for five days a week while on set of the ABC sitcom, and it has left her “happy-exhausted.” In the end, she says that she wouldn’t trade it for anything, since she is “living the dream.”

She even talked about what it’s like to play a mother and wife on the show:

“I like being the ‘hot mommy.’ Also, I find that on TV, marriage gets a really bad rap. It’s this thing that you never want to do, and the comedy comes out of what people hate about being married. What drew me to black-ish is that this couple loves each other and the comedy comes out of that.”
