A coroner in Pasco, Washington is requesting an inquest jury to look into the death of an orchard worker who was accused of throwing rocks at officers. The coroner says “controversy over Tuesday’s shooting of 35-year-old Antonio Zambrano-Montes would justify a coroner’s inquest, in which a jury is presented with evidence and decides whether the officers’ actions were justified.” [FOX 13]

The 10-year-old daughter of a Madera County sheriff shot her 8-year-old sister, in her lower torso, while in their own home. Reports say the father left his service gun on the bed while he was getting ready for work. [ABC 30]

A husband claims a 911 operator hung up on him when he asked to be guided through CPR after he found his wife not breathing. He also stated that the operator accused him of trying to pull a prank on her. [Daily Mail]
