Actor Boris Kodjoe celebrated his daughter’s 10th birthday recently and shared a touching open letter praising her for her strength and courage. His daughter was born with spina bifida, which affects the legs, bladder, and bowels.
The actor shared a letter on Facebook, which reads:
To My Little Heart.
The day I met your mother I knew I was ready to be a man. The day I met you I became one. You’ve shown me what true strength and courage is and you taught me that the love of faith and the faith in love is one and the same.
I’m in awe of your ability to defy the odds and I marvel at the confidence with which you produce miracle after miracle. You smile your way through life and your light touches everyone around you.
I’m proud of you because you are your mother’s daughter, I’m proud of you because you are
Sophie Tei-Naaki Lee Kodjoe.
Happy 10th Birthday my little heart. I love you more than you will ever believe.
What a tear-jerking message!
Jewel Allison said in a recent interview:
As an African-American woman, I felt the stakes were even higher. Historic images of black men being vilified en masse as sexually violent sent chills through my body
That was my sexual assault by this comedian. He turned me around and said, “Let’s get you home”. At the door, he gave me a very hard embrace and a hard kiss.
What do you think about Allison holding back?
