Kendrick Lamar‘s new album, To Pimp A Butterfly, has already made huge moves in the 24 hours that it has been available on iTunes.
While the project has received the recognition of tons of big names since its surprise release, apparently, it’s already setting records on Spotify.
According to Billboard, K. Dot’s album has set the streaming record on the music streaming program, as the tracks were listened to a total of 9.6 million times in the first day.
The CEO of TDE tweeted about the milestone:
To Pimp a Butterfly was streamed 9.6m times on the 1st day. new global record 4 the most streams in a single day worldwide by a new release

The official release date for the album is March 23rd, so there’s no details on what will count with his first week sales. but the numbers can only go up from here.
All we know is that now we have one more week to enjoy the new project!
